DepEd to Lead Accreditation exams for both sighted and visually-impaired

San Fernando City – The Department of Education (Deped) is opening the enrollment for Accreditation and Equivalency (A&e) test takers from July 4 to August 2 for the exams to be directed in October in the not so distant future in 17 districts across the nation. Regulated by its Bureau of Alternative Learning System (Bals), the A&e is a paper and pencil test which used to be reputed to be the non-formal instruction test. 

Education Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro Fsc likewise declared that the test may additionally be given to superficially debilitated test takers by means of Braille. "This is part of our proceeding push to give the specially abled learners an equivalent access to instruction."

The A&e for takers in Regions 9, 10, 11, 12, Caraga and Armm is on October 6, 2013. For takers in Regions 5, 6, 7 and 8, the date is October 13. Locales 1, 2,3 and Cordillera Administrative Region A&e takers is situated on October 20 while it is October 27 for the National Capital Region, Calabarzon (Region 4-An) and Mimaropa (Region 4-B). 

Focuses of the A&e are school drop-outs, those who have not went to the formal school framework, homeschoolers, or other people who have not fulfilled fundamental instruction yet are essentially educated. 

The A&e enrollment, organization, and affirmation are given free by Deped.
